We Believe…
- Handmade items infused with one’s creativity and thoughtful attention to detail carries with it the love and hope of the creator everywhere it goes, inspiring others to create love and hope.
- Everyone is talented, creative and worthy of surroundings that nurture their soul from where their greatness can emerge. When you help others, realize their dreams as you realize your own.
- This is not about how fast we can transform a shelter. It is about how we can build lasting relationships and great memories with the women, children, volunteers, donors and the staff at the shelters we help.
- The journey is just as important as the destination.

We organize dozens of volunteers to help clean, repair, and gather new and handmade items and monetary donations for each makeover. Some require major construction work; others require mainly cosmetic facelifts. Every makeover is never compromised on beauty or quality. Respect your work and others will too.
Individuals, businesses, and corporations donate their time, talents, in-kind or monetary donations as needed. We start the repairs, painting and decorating only when every item from the dream list is donated.
The work continues as we build a network of volunteers and donors nationally and internationally, including our new "Traveling Sanctuary Project." Work has begun on our next "extreme makeover," benefiting the homeless women and children in our community, visibly demonstrating that people care, showing them they are worthy of something better than what they've had, creating a lasting lesson that transformations are possible, and proving that beauty can rise from ashes.
