Welcome to Terry's Enchanted Cottage
Does your home or yard truly reflect who you are? Does your home tell your life story and inspire you to go after your dreams? I'm a decorator who can help you transform your home and your life just by listening to your heart...not the trends.
I have the secrets for creating a gorgeous home... make your home unique a one of kind original. I've been called, ''the amazing saver of House Souls!''
You pick the style we see the vision:
- Country: A sunny, casual, heart-warming style of decor. Gingham and floral cotton distressed and painted woods, ruffles, plump cushions and sofas, and soft furniture of pine and oak are hallmarks of this style.
- Traditional: Upholstered furniture in a traditional room exhibits classic lines and understated details. It is functional, unfussy, and restful looking. Edges are soft, smooth, and blend into the whole. In general a traditional room will use a mix of vertical lines with more restful horizontal lines. Gentle curves are seen in furniture, pillows, and accessories. Fabrics in a traditional room are generally neither too shiny or too textured. Florals, plain colors, muted plaids, understated stripes, geometrics, tone-on-tone and small all-over patterns are common. Color in a traditional room is often in a mid-range of tones, though very dark and very light colors can also be used. Pretty multi-color florals are often the basis of a traditional color scheme that uses the lightest color on the walls and deeper hues for upholstery and flooring. Avoid neon brights and jarring combinations. The overall ambience of traditional decor is homey, understated, and non-jarring.
- Contemporary: fundamentally, simplicity, subtle sophistication, texture and clean lines help to define contemporary decorating. Interiors showcase space rather than things. By focusing on color, space, and shape, contemporary interiors are sleek and fresh.
- Modern: Put a groovy spin on your home decor with mod design. A seamless blend of the classic and current, mod style revives the dynamic designs of the past and gives them a contemporary spin.
- Modern Country: is a great take on a traditional favorite with a chic twist on country design. It's very comfortable but not quite as casual as it was in the past so it's both homey and up to the minute.
- French Country: Rustic farm tables, fabrics in vivid tones of yellow, green, red and blue. These vibrant colors are key, especially when combined with patterns such as toile, checks, stripes and landscapes. Animals are used over and over in French country style and the rooster is the most traditional.
- English Country: is a relaxed, comfortable style that is an interpretation of traditional English designs and periods. Colors are lively and bright and evocative of the garden; a rustic, textural quality permeates both the interior and exterior through the use of wood, iron and stone. Textiles include embroidered rugs and fabrics in floral prints; furnishings range from dark-stained chests to pine bookcases.
- Country Cottage: A little bit of frill, a little bit of fun and a ton of old-fashioned charm constitute this welcoming style. Garden-inspired hues, rustic furnishings and floral fabrics are a staple of this relaxed look. Slipcovered sofas, white-washed furniture and cherished family accents or flea-market finds form the base for this casual, comfortable and comforting style.
- Old World: design is a comfortable, broken-in look that shows the wear and tear of usage. textured walls, hand-trawled windows and walls and tumbled marble exemplify the style. Distressed, matte and honed finishes are preferable to highly polished, reflective surfaces.
- Primitive: Painted furniture, vintage quilts, gingham curtains, folk art, americana accessories, baskets and a hand- woven rug completes the cozy scene.
- Beachy: White slipcovers, seashells, paint by numbers and chippy painted furniture.
- Coastal Style: ''Tranquil colors of the ocean'' Aqua wicker furnishings, touches of shell pink, mccoy vases, barkcloth & chenille fabrics, misty blue or icy green ceilings.
- Kitsch: ( A little mix of 50's & country) Vintage cannister sets, grandma's old tablecloth, painted chairs and bright fun colors for the walls.
- Shabby-Chic: White-painted furniture, muted colors, slipcovers, crystal chandliers and vintage floral fabrics.
- Eclectic: A variety of periods and styles brought together through the use of color, texture, shape and finish. This style are for those who are not constrained by popular 'good taste' or trends. You surround yourself with the things that make you happy.
- Vintage: Family photos in black and white, lace curtains, antique furniture, and aged floral draperies used for upholestry fabric. Collections might include old figurines, pottery, handkerchiefs, and jewerly.
- Garden: An atmosphere of fresh and pretty things, including floral prints, needlepoint pillows, painted wood furniture, lace accents, fresh flowers and vintage china.
- Romantic: Soft fabrics with floral patterns, laces, painted furniture, vintage plates, a color pastel palette and flower arrangements.
- Rustic: A simple style typical of country life, regardless of geography. Interiors are primitive, wool blankets, deer heads, painted furniture, old quilts, wood paneling, rough-hewn beams and a charming stone fireplace.
- Rustic Romantic: Wide-plank floors, slipcovers, crystal chandliers, dainty china plates, curvy furniture and beautiful puddled drapes.
- Cabin/Camp: If a cozy retreat in the woods is your passion, then this is the Cottage Style for you. Knotty -pine walls and bookcases, berry red and forest green plaid blankets, twig furniture, and Native American artifacts like arrowheads are the hallmark of the camp cottage look.
- 50's Retro: A very fun era full of bright colors, barkcloth drapes, checkerboard floors and T.V. lamps.
- Flea Market: Be inventive, Be Creative. Using old things in unexpected new ways.Vintage luggage as end tables, old egg crates as center pieces, vintage tableclothes and quilts as curtains.
- Collector's: For all of us who are proud of our collections and want them seen in our homes with a infusion of color.
- I can also help you artfully bring out your own Original Style in your home.
- Or maybe your own personal style nothing seems to come together or is very functional then I recommend a Interior Redesign.
